Vintage Japanese Roly Poly Wedding Dolls. The exquisite dealing of the hand painted eyes make them almost haunting. They both measure 6 inches tall and are 12 ½ inches in circumference at the widest point on their bodies. The have a flat base so that they can stand. They have oyster shell faces with inset eyes. I think that the bulbous bodies are made from papiermache. The condition is very good. The only issue is a small stain in the white top of the frame. Then there is something rattling around inside on of them. However everything else is excellent. They are rare and unusual.
