VIntage Nouveau pocketwatch compact necklace with raised nudes and antique hanger

 

This is the neatest vintage compact ( powder and mirror are still inside) that is made to look like a victorian pocketwatch. To connect the pocket watch locket to the  necklace , an antique pocketwatch hanger seemed appropriate.  THe necklace is made of heavy English crest button beads and a large toggle clasp. On both sides of the pocketwatch pendant are raised nudes with enamel. Truly a beautiful pendant, it is only made more gorgeous by this heavy 26" long chain. The pendant including the hanger is 3 1/2" long. I love assemblage pieces because they bring together era's of jewelry in an almost seemless manner.
