Vintage Pressed Steel Padlock w/Keys

$22.00
Quantity available: 1

This is a nice clean pressed steel padlock w/key. It is not marked by the maker on the padlock or on the (2) keys. The key opens the lock with a turn to the clockwise, and has a strong spring that pops the lock into the open position once the key is turned, automatic locking with key in or out. The lock and keys are both in good+ condition with no rust, some minor pitting on the metal noted on the outside lock, some of the red paint still intact on the central main body. The lock measures 2.6" high x 1.65" wide and .6" thick.  The shackle diamer is .25".  A nice early padlock from about 100 years ago, in the hard to find small size!  Pressed steel locks are very sturdy, some were made of brass, this one is made of steel.  It is the four piece main body that was shaped in a stamping press, thereby called pressed steel.  The shackle is solid steel.  A nice lock overall!
