Vintage Signed Taxco Mexican Amethyst Poison ring ornate metal work

 

This vintage signed sterling ring holds one large amethyst in the center and two smaller stones on the sides. Inside is a compartment where a secret stash could be held or a treasure. The ring setting is large and it measures a whopping 1 1/4" long. Leafs in silver wrap themselves around the edges. The ring is a size 7 and it reads inside "mexico and a name that starts with R, Taxco and what looks like a 2 or 5 in the bell shape.
