Vintage Splint Oak, Bent Wood Basket.   I would say that this must be a produce basket or perhaps for carrying a few jars of jam.   It has a lovely patina.  The base is of  Masonite or some other  particle wood product.    The splints are crisscross but held in place at the rings with old staples..   The bent wood handle is stapled on.    The condition is very good for age and previous usage .  It is 13" tall including the handle, 12" wide and 7" deep.
