Chrysoprase, the stone of Venus, the Roman Goddess of Love and Supreme Ruler of the Heart, was first identified around 23A.D.  Highly prized in the Middle Ages, it was considered a magical stone that was “re-charged” at the half-moon by placing it out in nature.  Chrysoprase was said to bring good health and harmonious longevity to marriages.This sterling chrysoprase brooch holds those same magical powers. It measures 1 1/8" long.
