Vintage Timberland Brown Leather Shoulder Messenger Satchel Bag Angler Style
Vintage Timberland Brown Leather Shoulder Messenger Bag. Perfect for a Laptop Briefcase. I have seen this style referred to an Angler Bag.
It is a flap that conceals a large chamber with large zipper pocket perfect for papers or manuals. Also the strap down belt is adjustable with eyelets and close securely with 2 sturdy belt buck closures In front of zipper pocket are two side by side fairly deep pouches perfect for phone, binoculars, sunglasses or what have you. On the back side that is a generous slot pocket that you can put things you want to grab easily like a book or some maps. The leather is thick and crinkled. I think it is buffalo hide but can't say for sure. Anyway it is completely lined with a heavy canvas like material. There is a carrying handle on top and well and a heavy woven fabric shoulder strap that is firmly locked into place by several secure stitching points that are covered over by leather strips. This all boils down to that it is very well made very sturdy and you won't need to worry about straps breaking no matter how full you pack the bag.
It measures 15.00 x 5.00 x 31.00 and weighs almost 4 pound.
The condition is very good with very little signs of previous ownership.

The dimensions and weight posted below are the approximate size of the packaging to calculate the shipping. Please refer to the description for the actual size of the item. The shipping quoted includes the handling, insurance and delivery confirmation. To give you an idea on shipping of a particular item please refer to the size and weight. I ship from Seattle, Zip Code 98103. Most items will be sent USPS Priority Mail despite the website's auto calculation for FED EX Ground. (Currently that is the only auto calculator offered via GoAntiques at this time)
Some of the older inventory could have outdated shipping information and may need updating. Plus shipping weight and size on many of the older inventory is not filled in to facilitate the auto shipping calculator. Please send me an email for updated shipping information and to avoid surprises.
I try to give you the lowest shipping as possible. It is all about size, weight and distance. Fragile items need to be packed in a box with a lot of padding. The box needs to be much larger than the item being shipped. The cardboard box with the packaging material add to the weight and dimensions.
Large items like furniture need to be picked up in person. Or your own arrangements can be made to have a shipping company pick up the items. That is only after your payment has been made or cleared. In rare circumstances I can deliver within the greater Seattle –Tacoma area for a modest fee.
