This is a unique bust of a Rook in the game of chess. It is about 13 inches tall and 7 inches in diameter. It was all hand carved by an experienced carver named Bill Hoobing. It was carved in 1980 and has nice detail. His goal was to make a complete chess set and carve one for each piece in the game, but was unable to finish the set. This bust would make a great decoration or an interesting conversation piece in your home.
