Japanese ceramic trinket / jewelry / dresser box with cover. Decorated with cobalt blue glaze, romantic courting couple scene, and gold trim. Multi-color flowers inside box and lid. Marked with Tashiro Shoten elephant mark, dating from the 1930's-40's. Company closed in 1954. Measures 3 5/8"d, 2"h. Lovely condition with no chips or cracks; only light wear to gold lace trim.
