Chinese Export camphor wood trunk with leather covering, early 1800's. Brass hardware and "Bramah" lock, advertised in it's day as "un-pickable". Partial labels with the name "MacMillan" and passenger number. The trunk was made in Canton, China; the lock later installed upon arrival in England. Damaged hinges have allowed the leather to be torn on the back of the trunk; broken wood in bottom; missing handle on one end; some lining paper remaining, mostly in lid as shown. Measures 36"l x 18" x 16"h. More photos available upon request. Due to the fragile nature of this item it is available as local pick-up only, shipping is to be arranged by buyer. Sold as is.
