A fine, translucent slightly green-gray majolica glaze covers this intaglio carved and relief molded tile emaux ombrants portrait of General Foch modeled by George Cartlidge and produced by J.H. Barratt & Co., Ltd. General Foch was the Allied Supreme Commander during WWI who oversaw the liberation of Europe and the defeat of Germany. The tile is in very good condition. There are areas of glaze flaking at the bottom edge as shown and light surface wear at the top edge. Please write with any questions you may have.
