A fine, translucent slightly green-gray majolica glaze covers this intaglio carved and relief molded tile emaux ombrants portrait of the Right Honorable David Lloyd George modeled by George Cartlidge and produced by J.H. Barratt & Co., Ltd. David Lloyd George was the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom from 7 December 1916 – 22 October 1922 and so saw the victory of the Allies in WWI. The tile is in very good condition. There are areas of glaze flaking at the edges as shown, mainly at right, and light surface wear; crazing throughout. Please write with any questions you may have.
