Set of 4 covered rice bowls from Japan with green, undulating dragons, inside and outside of the bowls and lids. Circa 1900, marked with crimson red and gold character mark on side of bowl, believed to be from an Arita (Imari) maker. Flower mark on lid. Each bowl measures 4.25"d, with cover stands 3.25"h. All pieces have some wear to the inside bottom and the gold trim, as these were intended to be used. The standing foot rim of one bowl has a "bruise" type crack that has not broken out.
