Nippon ferner, or planter, with hand-painted flowers, cobalt blue edging and gold trim.  No mark, but dates from the late 1800's.  An identically shaped piece has been identified as Noritake in one of my books on Nippon.  Measures 10.5"d handle-to-handle, 5.5"h.  Rests on 4 feet.  Shaded inner rim with gold flourishes.  In gorgeous condition with no chips, cracks, or excessive wear; one small glaze flaw on rim as shown in photo.  Sold as is..  A rare beauty!  Inglenook Antiques...Established 1989.
