Wonderful self-framed portrait tile from American Encaustic Tiling Company, described by Karlson as "Woman in 17th Century Costume". The tile is carved in deep relief and finished in a bright majolica glaze that pools beautifully in the deeper recesses of the image. It is in excellent condition with light edge wear at lower right corner as shown. The glaze is glossy and bright.  Please write with any questions you may have.
