Coin silver salt spoon pair with fiddleback shape and seashell tips. Marked by Frederick Starr Blackman of Danbury, Connecticut. Made between 1840 and 1849, when he partnered with his brother. Measure 3 3/8" long.  Handles inscribed "Birchard", a prominent family of the region, which I also have an inscribed napkin ring from (see S400).  Have some tarnish and scratches as shown. Sold as is. Inglenook Antiques...Established 1989.
