Semi-porcelain Aesthetic Movement wash pitcher, made by Isaac Davis before his involvement with Dale at the Prospect Hill Pottery, Trenton, New Jersey. Hand-painted floral sprays and butterfly, with enamel accents and gold trim. Circa 1876, marked "Porcelaine Opaque", with an ilegible patent date. Measures 10 5/8"h x 9"d.  Handle is shaped like the arm of a suit of armor.  Has one small factory flaw where extra pottery was ground off, but in otherwise excellent condition with very little wear.
