Antique Knights of Pythias Watch Fob Locket w/Chain Ca. 1890
Knights of Pythias fraternal organization watch fob sliding locket with chain, circa 1890. Gold-filled with enameled shield. "F-B-C", skull & crossbones on front, and an engraved scene of sailboats on back, reminiscent of Lake Como in Italy. Woven link chain, similar to hair weaving, but appears to be a form of early plastic, perhaps Gutta Percha? Measures 12"l overall, .75"w octagon locket. Shows wear to the gold on the high points, some fraying of the chain links as shown. Sold as is. Inglenook Antiques...Established 1989.
