One of the series of 24 scenes from plays by Shakespeare designed by John Moyr Smith for Mintons China Works, pattern No. 1408. Depicted here is: "A Midsummer Night's Dream, Act IV, scene i". The tile is underglaze block-printed in sepia on a buff clay body and finished in a clear glossy glaze. It is in excellent condition with a upper corners clipped for installation; light right edge nick 1/4 way up from bottom; and light wear as shown. Please write with any questions you may have.
