Hand-painted opalescent trinket/powder box with coralene bird on lid. Dates from around the 1920s, unmarked, but likely from Japan. Lustrous glass beads on bird create a different effect with changing light. Accented with green leaves and gold trim. Measures 4 1/4"d round x 1 7/8"h. Has some gold wear on edge of lid, but no chips or cracks. Inglenook Antiques...Established 1989.
