Intaglio print designed and published by William Young Ottley, Jan. 1, 1812. One of the series of Italian Masters that Ottley created. This one is his version of "The Battle for the Standard" that was done by Raffaello Sanzio di Urbino. Measures 13.75" x 19.5". Has 2 small 1" tears in the bottom edge (paper is still there), and the lower left corner is missing outside of the print border. The photo detail shows this corner, which also has the publishing information intact which reads: "Pub. Jan. 1, 1812, by W. Y. Ottley, 43 Frith St., Soho, London". Piece is sealed in plastic on backing board. Price recently reduced.  Inglenook Antiques...Established 1989.
