Right-angle, or perpendicular, master butter knife in the "Newport" pattern, designed to stand, rather than lay on the tablecloth.  Marked "Rogers 1847", actually manufactured circa 1879.  Measures 7 3/8"l.  Monogram "jMn".  Good condition with no major issues.  Sold as is.  Inglenook Antiques...Established 1989.
