Novelty salt & pepper tray, encrusted with flowers and mushrooms. Circa 1930's-50's, marked "Made in Japan" , black ink stamp. Bright shiny glazes with bits of "spaghetti art" decoration around the edge. Measures 5"l x 2 3/4"w x 1 1/8"h. Very good condition with no chips or cracks. Have seen this tray in books with several different shakers, from frogs to birds. Tray only: a great completer piece for the shaker collector! Inglenook Antiques...Established 1989.
