Victorian silver-plated pickle castor with lid and tongs. Clear glass insert has star-burst bottom, acid-etched foliage with parrot and grasshopper. Circa 1880's. Stand marked "Crown Silver Plate Co. / 104", part of International Silver Company. Measures 10 5/8"h x 5"w. Stand has minor dents and slight warp to circular base, as well as wear to the plating INSIDE the bottom of the holder, where the glass insert sits. Glass has 1 small bruise, not broken through; some wear to the etching, but no other chips or cracks. Lid and tongs look good. Sold as is, and as a set. Inglenook Antiques...Established 1989.
