"Monterey" chop plate or round platter, made by Bauer Pottery of Los Angeles, California, circa 1940.  Yellow glaze.  Marked on bottom.  Measures 12.75"d.  Has small bits of extra clay, but no chips or cracks.  Very little surface wear!  A hard-to-find piece of California pottery.  Inglenook Antiques...Established 1989.
