PV "French Opera Reproductions" pie/dessert plate pair, part of a series made in the 1940s. Barber of Seville #6 and William Tell #5, green & gold band edging. Measure 7 3/8"d. These have the "PV" mark for Peasant Village, a trademark used by the distributor Mittledorfer Straus Inc. of New York City. Nice condition with only light crazing of the glaze, no chips or cracks.
