A portrait of William Ewart Gladstone, Prime Minister of the United Kingdom four times (the last being 15 August 1892 – 2 March 1894) and known as "The People's William" by supporters, from the image originally sculpted by H.S. Mendlessohn. The tile was made by Sherwin & Cotton in 1898 is intaglio carved and relief molded and is covered in a rich and beautiful brown to black glaze. The tile is framed and ready to hang, the framed size being 13.25" x 10.25". In excellent condition. Please write with any questions you may have. Better photographs will be posted soon.
